Who is an Exchange Student?

An exchange student is someone who comes to the UGR for a semester or full academic year via a specific student exchange agreement signed between the UGR and the student’s home university. These bilateral agreements are established with universities in non-EU countries (among EU member states, exchanges are usually within the framework of the Erasmus Programme). In order to be accepted as an exchange student, you will need to be nominated to take part in the exchange programme by the International Relations Co-ordinator at your home university.

Online application for bilateral exchange students: from the 1st April onwards (first semester or full academic year) / from 1st to 31st October (second semester).

About the Spanish language knowledge

For undergraduate students (Erasmus, exchange/bilateral agreements and free mobility programmes) it is highly recommended to have a B1 level of Spanish.

For master students (Erasmus, exchange/bilateral agreements and free mobility programmes) it is recommended to have a B2 level of Spanish and it is mandatory to hold an official language proficiency certificate on at least a B1 level for those programs whose language of instruction is Spanish.
