The University of Granada (UGR) participated this week in the third transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ PROMISED project at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. Representatives from the European institutions involved in the consortium also attended.
During the working meeting, the partners discussed advances in the project activities, particularly those relating to the design, translation and implementation of integrated STEAM-CLIL teaching units. These units employ storytelling as a pedagogical framework to link content learning with foreign language learning.
These educational proposals are structured around key values such as digital ethics, inclusivity and sustainability. They promote an interdisciplinary approach that fosters language development, as well as critical, creative, and scientific thinking among students.
The UGR has already begun implementing the project in schools across Andalusia. The teaching units designed as part of the project are currently being put into practice at three schools in Granada, as well as one in Jaén.
The meeting served as an opportunity to coordinate the next stages of the project, including the continuation of its implementation in schools, the production of guides for teachers and education professionals, and the organisation of future exchange and dissemination activities at European level.
With a total budget of €400,000, this project is one of 17 cooperation partnerships funded under Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ programme in which the UGR is currently participating.
