The Arqus European University Alliance has officially opened the second application call for the 2026–2028 intake of the Joint Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence (MICAC), a two-year international master’s degree delivered jointly by four leading European universities.

MICAC is designed for students seeking advanced, practice-oriented training in cybersecurity within a truly European academic environment. The programme is jointly delivered by the University of Padua, Vilnius University, the University of Granada, and the University of Minho, and is taught entirely in English.

A core feature of the programme is its mandatory international mobility, allowing students to study at different partner universities over the two academic years as part of a single joint degree.

Important eligibility information for this second call:

  • This call will close on 6 May 2026.
  • It is only open to applicants who are nationals of EU/EEA countries, as well as to applicants whose nationality does not require a visa to enter the Schengen area.
  • As a result, candidates who require a visa to enter the Schengen area are not eligible to apply in this round.
  • This eligibility restriction responds to the specific timeline of the second call and the practical requirements associated with admission, enrolment and the mobility structure of the programme.

Application fees

An application fee applies:

  • €30 for EU applicants
  • €100 for non-EU applicants

Application fees are non-refundable, and the programme does not currently offer application fee or tuition fee waivers.

Funding opportunities

All enrolled MICAC students may apply for Erasmus+ mobility funding, which supports living expenses during the compulsory mobility periods, for a maximum of 12 months over the duration of the programme.
