Scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Master in Data Mining and Knowledge Management - 2012-2014

The Master in Data Mining & Knowledge Management (DMKM) is aimed at students from all over the world.

The primary social and economic value of modern societies is knowledge. For this reason, mastering Information technology for structured or unstructured information recorded in Datawarehouses, such as the Web, and containing dormant knowledge is essential to the development of both individual and society.

  • DMKM Scholarships for 2012-2014:

Candidates from all over the world may apply to the Master. However, there are differences between European and Non-European candidates for scholarships.

  • Third countries students may apply to a category A scholarship (24,000 Euros per year)
  • European students may apply to a category B scholarship (11,500 Euros per year). Students that will spend their 4th semester in a third country, will get, just one time, a lump sum of 3000 €.

In addition to the scholarships fundend by the EU, up to 20 scholarships, the Consortium adds the following ones:

  • For Non European students: 5 scholarships, each of the amount of 10,000.00 € per year. This amount covers the 8,000.00 € to be payed to the Consortium as fees for ther Master, plus 2,000.00 € as contribution to travel. The grantee has only to provide the means of subsistence by him/herself.
  • For European students: 5 scholarships, each of the amount of 5,000.00 € per year. This amount covers the 4,000.00 € to be payed to the Consortium as fees for ther Master, plus 1,000.00 € as contribution to travel. The grantee has only to provide the means of subsistence by him/herself.

Deadline for application for scholarship : January 3th, 2012 at 12:00 (GMT+2) for European and Non-European candidates

  • Note:

Candidates, who do not have yet obtained the bachelor degree at the time of application deadline, may nevertheless apply to the Master. However, they must upload proof of obtained bachelor degree no later than MARCH 31st, for NON-EUROPEAN students, and no later than June 30th, for EUROPEAN students.

We remind you that all students wishing to attend the Erasmus Mundus Master Courses in DMKM as self-funded students, can apply until:

  • April, 15th, 2012 for Non-European Students
  • June, 15th, 2012 for European Students
