The ISS 2014 program runs for about 5 weeks during summer and the professors will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses listed below. The specific requirements for the position are as follows:

• Program dates: June 27 (FRI) – July 25 (FRI), 2014

1. Arrival date: June 26 (THU) / Departure date: July 26 (SAT)

2. Total number of teaching hours: 45 hours (3 hours/day for 15 days)

• Qualification

1. Ph.D. or equivalent level from accredited university, and currently appointed as a professor at one of the UOS partner universities

2. Teaching one of the undergraduate courses (target group: sophomores or juniors) listed below in English;

- East Asian History (afternoon class)

- Globalization and Multicultural Societies (afternoon class)

• Working Conditions

1. Salary: 9,000 USD before tax

2. Teach 1 course for the 5 week International Summer School program

- There’s no research expectations attached but there is some administrative work involved such as preparing syllabus in Feb 2014, inputting students’ grades to UOS Intranet, and more.

- No teaching assistant provided

- 1 class = 45 class (teaching) hours (including mid-term and final exams)

3. Classes start on June 30 (MON), 2014. However, all the ISS faculty members are required to attend faculty orientation which will be held on June 27 (FRI), 2014. Classes end on July 25 (FRI); inputting grades required within 1 week after the classes end.

4. On campus housing with kitchen available (from 600,000 to 1,000,000 Korean won per month depending on the room type).
