The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of the University of Granada, Pedro Mercado, and featured the participation of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Inmaculada Marrero
The first transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project titled New-Gen Language Teachers: Empowering Language Teaching with Ethical AI-Enhanced Guidance took place on 23 and 24 March. Organised and hosted by Anadolu University (Eskişehir, Türkiye), the meeting was attended by three lecturers from the UGR's Department of English and German Philology and Department of Didactics of Language and Literature.
A specialised team from the University of Granada has produced the official translation of Granada's ECOC Bid Book, ensuring the project’s essence transcends linguistic boundaries
The undertaking was made possible thanks to a collaboration agreement between the UGR and the New Ground Research (NGR) Foundation
The UGR has also consolidated its position among the global top 300 universities across all knowledge areas
In addition, two of the UGR’s academic disciplines feature among the global top 50 for the first time
The project aims to develop innovative teaching activities related to accessibility and inclusion in historic public spaces.

The meeting provided an opportunity to coordinate the next stages of the project, including its ongoing implementation in schools and the development of guides for teachers and education professionals
Thanks to Erasmus+ agreements with third countries not associated to the programme, the UGR is currently hosting staff from universities in Algeria, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Chile, Equatorial Guinea, Georgia, Ghana, Japan, Kosovo, Mauritania, Montenegro, Nigeria, South Africa and Ukraine.
