The University of Granada marked Europe Day with an official ceremony on Friday 8 May at the ‘Hospital Real’ Building (seat of the UGR Rectorate).
As part of the Europe Day celebrations, the ‘Hospital Real’ also hosted the opening of the travelling exhibition ‘Andalucía, 40 años creciendo en Europa: del tratado a la transformación’ (Andalusia, 40 Years of Growth in Europe: From Treaty to Transformation).

The University of Granada (UGR) has played a prominent role in the 2026 Spanish Universities Road Show in Brazil, a strategic initiative aimed at attracting talent and promoting the internationalization of the higher education system. The event was held between 25 and 29 April 2026.

The event will take place at the Faculty of Social Work and the Faculty of Labour Relations and Human Resources

The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of the University of Granada, Pedro Mercado, and featured the participation of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Inmaculada Marrero

The first transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project titled New-Gen Language Teachers: Empowering Language Teaching with Ethical AI-Enhanced Guidance took place on 23 and 24 March. Organised and hosted by Anadolu University (Eskişehir, Türkiye), the meeting was attended by three lecturers from the UGR's Department of English and German Philology and Department of Didactics of Language and Literature.

The project aims to develop innovative teaching activities related to accessibility and inclusion in historic public spaces.
