Start of the academic activity for the second semester postponed

Ante la situación de las Alertas de la Agencia Española de Meteorología previstas, el Equipo de Gobierno de la Universidad de Granada ha puesto en marcha medidas de prevención, debido a las cuales, se ha re-programado el inicio de la actividad académica del segundo semestre en la UGR para el día 18 de febrero.

In view of the warnings issued by the Spanish Meteorological Agency, the University of Granada's Governing Team has implemented a series of preventive measures, as a result of which, the start of the second semester at the UGR has been rescheduled for 18 February.

Intensive International Seminar on Irish Studies (26-30 January 2026)

Once again, the Irish Studies Circle at the University of Granada will host its intensive International Seminar on Irish Studies from 26 to 30 January 2026. This ninth edition will continue to celebrate the richness of Irish culture: its literature, music, film and history, brought to life by exceptional Irish voices and artists.

The seminar will feature literary readings by poet Gerry Murphy and writers Mary O'Donnell and Katherine O'Donnell. We will also be joined by keynote speakers of great renown in the Irish academic field.

Chinese writer Yu Hua delivers seminar at the University of Granada

Acclaimed Chinese author Yu Hua has visited Granada to present his latest novel, City of Fiction, at a literary event organised by Casa Asia and the Confucius Institute of the University of Granada (ICUGR), in collaboration with the publishing house Seix Barral.
