Welcome to the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization of the University of Granada (UGR). Our main goal is to connect students, teaching and research staff, and technical, management, administrative and support staff with higher education systems in other countries and thus enrich their training, curricula vitae and personal experiences.

The University of Granada is one of the most internationalized institutions in the European and global context, and has cooperation agreements in force with over a thousand universities and higher education institutions from all regions of the world. Within the European Union, we are leaders in mobility, sending and receiving thousands of students to and from universities around the world. Furthermore, we offer a wide range of double, multiple and joint undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in collaboration with highly prestigious universities from European Union member states and other countries within the international community. The University of Granada also coordinates one of the first and most important European University alliances — the Arqus Alliance.

Our language policy provides training and accreditation to enhance the language skills of the entire university community. The Confucius Institute (ICUGR) and the Centre for Slavic Cultures of the UGR offer an array of services and activities to enrich the university community’s knowledge of Chinese and Slavic cultures and languages.

Our university takes part in the activities and management of important international university networks such as the Coimbra Group; Iberoamerican University Association for Postgraduate Studies (AUIP); Tordesillas Group; European University Association (EUA); European Association for International Education (EAIE); and “La Rábida” Group of Ibero-American Universities, among others. Moreover, the Vice-Rectorate's Language Services Unit (USL) supports the internationalization of the University of Granada through institutional translation and the development of bilingual content and tools.

Students of over one hundred different nationalities are trained on the campuses of the University of Granada, where teacher training projects are also developed with academic staff and researchers from universities throughout the world. The results of these projects broaden and consolidate our high-quality academic programmes, enhancing the training we offer to students at our institution. Thanks to these internationalization instruments, our students have the necessary skills and abilities to reach highly competitive positions in the labour markets of an increasingly globalised international community. Moreover, our technical, management, administrative and support staff cooperate extensively with their counterparts from universities in other countries, sharing best practices and establishing new and innovative university management models.
