• WHAT IS GEMMA?

Erasmus Mundus Master’s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies - GEMMA, is a two-year Postgraduate interdisciplinary study programme that provides high quality education and professional competencies for personnel working or intending to work in the areas of Women's Studies, Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities across Europe and beyond. Students benefit from international mobility as they study at two different European universities and obtain a double diploma from the Home and Mobility institutions.

• WHY STUDY GEMMA?

GEMMA is the first Erasmus Mundus Master´s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies in Europe. It was originally selected by the European Commission in 2006 and again in 2011. It is therefore a programme of excellence distinguished from amongst 177 submitted project proposals as “a pilot project and model in the field of Women´s Studies and Gender Studies from a European and global perspective”.

• SCHOLARSHIPS

Prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships (under the new Erasmus+ framework) are offered for STUDENTS. The scholarships cover tuition fees and health insurance and include a monthly allowance.

• AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO THE PROGRAMME?

Yes, if you have a previous University Bachelor degree (or its equivalent: 180 ECTS, minimum 3 years of study), and speak 2 out of 3 languages: English, Spanish, Italian. * For specific eligibility conditions for scholarships and for separate requirements for visiting scholars, see GEMMA´s website.

• WHEN CAN I APPLY? DEADLINES FOR APPLICATION for the 10th edition of GEMMA (2016-2018). Students applying for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship February 16th 2016 (online application). Students NOT applying for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship (self-paying students or students with other scholarships). February 16th 2016 (online application)
