Erasmus Mundus Master’s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies - GEMMA, is a two-year Postgraduate interdisciplinary study programme that provides high quality education and professional competencies for personnel working or intending to work in the areas of Women's Studies, Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities across Europe and beyond. Students benefit from international mobility as they study at two different European universities and obtain a double diploma from the Home and Mobility institutions.
GEMMA is the first Erasmus Mundus Master´s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies in Europe. It was originally selected by the European Commission in 2006 and again in 2011. It is therefore a programme of excellence distinguished from amongst 177 submitted project proposals as “a pilot project and model in the field of Women´s Studies and Gender Studies from a European and global perspective”.
Prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships (under the new Erasmus+ framework) are offered for STUDENTS. The scholarships cover tuition fees and health insurance and include a monthly allowance.
