University of Seoul is looking for visiting professors from its partner universities to lecture for the International Summer School 2013 program. The ISS 2013 program runs for about 5 weeks during summer and the professors will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses listed below. The specific requirements for the position are as follows:

Program dates: June 28 (FRI) – July 26 (FRI), 2013 (Daily schedule attached)

1. Arrival date: June 27 (THU) / Departure date: July 27 (SAT)

2. Total number of teaching hours: 45 hours (3 hours/day for 15 days)

Qualification

1. Ph.D. or equivalent level from accredited university, and currently appointed as a professor at one of the UOS partner universities

2. Teaching one of the undergraduate courses (target group: sophomores or juniors) listed below in English;

• International Relations (morning class)

• East Asian History (afternoon class)

• Korean Culture and Society (morning class)

• Business Communication (afternoon class)

Working Conditions:

1. Salary: 9,000 USD before tax

2. Teach 1 course for the 5 week International Summer School program
- There’s no research expectations attached but there is some administrative work involved such as preparing syllabus in December 2012, inputting students’ grades to UOS Intranet, and more.
- No teaching assistant provided
- 1 class = 45 class (teaching) hours (including mid-term and final exams)

3. Classes start on July 1 (MON), 2013. However, all the ISS faculty members are required to attend faculty orientation which will be held on June 28 (FRI), 2013. Classes end on July 26 (FRI); inputting grades required within 1 week after the classes end.

4. On campus housing with kitchen available (from 600,000 to 1,000,000 Korean won per month depending on the room type)
