In order to be eligible for access to the UGR’s support services for people with disabilities, you must either be enrolled at the UGR or at one of the UGR’s partner universities (an official mobility agreement must be in place).

Your disability or disorder must be officially recognised by the competent body in your home country. You may be asked to provide official documents to the UGR proving that you need specific educational support.

1. If you wish to request support you must select this option in the online application form for incoming students (during the respective application period).

2. The International Relations office will forward your details to the UGR’s Student Support Service (SAE).

3. Once you are accepted onto a programme at the UGR, you must request a meeting with the Student Support Service by sending an email to atencionsocial@ugr.es (attaching this form) so that they can assess your specific support needs. You must submit the following documents at this meeting:

• Photocopy of your passport or NIE (Foreign National Identification Number) or DNI (Spanish National Identity Number)
• A valid certificate, currently in force, which legally recognises the disability in question. In the case of specific educational support needs, you must submit a technical certificate of accreditation including medical and psychological reports, etc.), which must also be translated into Spanish. However, these translations do not need to be official or sworn translations
• A report describing the adaptations at the student’s home university or centre. In the case of mobility students, the report must be obtained from their home University. Students who apply for a sign language interpreting service should submit the names of the modules they are enrolled on, as well as the corresponding timetables for the 1st and 2nd semesters.
• Any other relevant supporting documents that the applicant feels should be taken into consideration
• Students who request adapted transport must submit the names of the modules they will be attending and the corresponding timetables for the 1st and 2nd semester
