Once again, the Irish Studies Circle at the University of Granada will host its intensive International Seminar on Irish Studies from 26 to 30 January 2026. This ninth edition will continue to celebrate the richness of Irish culture: its literature, music, film and history, brought to life by exceptional Irish voices and artists.

The seminar will feature literary readings by poet Gerry Murphy and writers Mary O'Donnell and Katherine O'Donnell. We will also be joined by keynote speakers of great renown in the Irish academic field.

As in previous years, music and dance will play a central role in the event, which will include a lively performance by the Céilí Band of the University of Granada, along with concerts by the Four Star Trio and Dermy & Tara Diamond. We will also run an introductory workshop on the Irish language and another on traditional dance.

With the aim of fostering interest in Irish studies and showcasing emerging research, several roundtables will be held with postgraduate students.

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance for 20 hours. The programme and registration form are available below:
